The following year Coach Wiggins coached the Tech freshman team that in addition to Mike (15) included Bobby Cheramie (31) and Peter Schuler (21).

He later was head basketball coach at Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport where his 1970 Gator team lost 72-56 in overtime in the AAA state finals against Brother Martin of New Orleans. He also won a state title in the private school league at Trinity Heights Academy. Coach Wiggins passed away in March 2015.

Mike Durham lettered three years at Tech and served as tri-captain his senior year.

It would be 48 years before the NC girls began their current string of three consecutive state titles (and now four out of five), beginning with the 2013-2014 basketball season.

In February 2016, members of the 1966 championship team were honored at a North Caddo basketball game.
